Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph families at my son's school where the parents and even grandparents in some cases were students there years ago and now their children attend. Given how people move around, that's pretty amazing! It was a wonderful experience. I mean I sweated profusely and was, as always, extremely nervous about producing good images for these people who put their trust in me, but it was fun. That is something rare for me when photographing people. I do not do it enough, well, outside of my family, and so I am always a little apprehensive about posing and talking and lighting and, and, and, everything. But yesterday was different and I cannot put my finger on it. Was it me? Did I give off an aura filled with friendly vibes or was it the families who were there, and excited, and interested, and gave me genuine smiles and gestures. Probably a little of both. Whatever the magic was, it was certainly real and addictive. Do I see more fun portraits in my future!? ;~)
